Modern equipment and the rich experience of our highly qualified minders allows us to repair and restore almost any cylinder head, both for cars and for the entire line of commercial vehicles and road equipment in a short time.

We perform the following cylinder head repairs:

1. Chemical Washing of the Cylinder Head

Washed cylinder head - allows more detailed troubleshooting and high-quality assembly. All units entering the work must go through a three-stage washing stage with special chemical solutions!

Pre-washing the cylinder head removes strong contamination before large-scale disassembly, the next stage of washing the block head is carried out after its disassembly and allows you to completely wash out sludge oil deposits even from the most hidden and inaccessible places and channels, which prevents dirty parts from entering the repair process. During the final assembly of the Head of the block, all parts of the cylinder head are washed with special chemical detergents for the perfect assembly of the cylinder head.

2. Grinding the cylinder head made of cast iron or aluminum

In the event of a malfunction of the engine cooling system and overheating, the first thing that fails is the Cylinder Head, which causes coolant to enter the vehicle's lubrication system, or vice versa, in most cases, cylinders located in the middle part of the cylinder block are subject to greater deformation.

In case of deformation of the cylinder head plane, work is required to restore the mating plane of the cylinder head to the engine block, which is performed on a high-precision machine with mandatory measurements of the cylinder head curvature, the permissible deformation of the cylinder head plane is 0.06-0.07 mm.

After measuring the curvature of the Cylinder Head, the best option for repairing the cylinder head by grinding or milling is selected.

3. Leak test (pressure test)

Cylinder head pressure testing is a necessary procedure for repairing an internal combustion engine.

As a rule, most customers try to save money on cylinder head pressure testing, which does not lead to real savings, but to additional waste.

After installing the cylinder head on the engine and the first start - bubbles appear in the expansion tank, or even worse, antifreeze gets into the engine oil. Re-parsing the internal combustion engine to pressure test the cylinder head!

After pressure testing of the cylinder head, its shortcomings are revealed:

A timely identified crack will significantly reduce the cost of subsequent engine repairs.

As a rule, the appearance of cracks in the cylinder head is caused by engine overheating or the use of coolant not recommended by the manufacturer in the winter.

The procedure for crimping the cylinder head seems quite simple:

4. Troubleshooting the valve mechanism

  1. Measure

After washing and complete disassembly of the cylinder head, all cylinder head elements are measured:

ALL parts that do not comply with the tolerance table are discarded and a troubleshooting report is drawn up.

  1. Replacement of valve guides

After diagnosing the cylinder head, if a defect in the valve bushings is detected, the guides are replaced:

  1. Lapping of valves

At the end of the installation of the valve mechanism, the valves are lapped.

Cylinder head valves are lapped with a specially abrasive paste until a smooth lapping surface appears around the entire perimeter of the valve disc. After lapping the valves - Be sure to carry out pressure testing with a vacuum to detect leaks.

Upon completion of work on grinding the valves and carrying out pressure testing, a finishing T-shirt of the cylinder head is made.

  1. Replacing valve stem seals.

New valve stem seals (valve seals) are installed on the rebuilt Cylinder Head. To install new valve stem seals, a special mandrel is used, selected according to the diameter of the valve stem. Oil scraper caps and the failure of oil from the cylinder head through the valve stem to the working cylinder of the engine depends on them and ensures reliable operation of the engine. We recommend: Install only original valve stem seals or replacements recommended by the manufacturer.

  1. Replacement of the valve seat.

In case of visual troubleshooting of the cylinder head and damage to the valve seat:

The valve seat must be replaced! Work on replacing the valve seat should be performed only by a highly qualified minder with extensive experience, since the process of pressing a new seat is quite complicated and requires certain qualifications. Before installing a new valve seat in the cylinder head, the part is cooled with liquid nitrogen, and then it is pressed into the heated cylinder head, the speed of the operation and the professionalism of the master guarantees the correct installation of the valve seat in the cylinder head, since it is necessary to have time to press the valve seat into the cylinder head while it is still valid cooling effect of nitrogen.

  1. Installation of a fitting under a candle.

If it is impossible to carry out repair work on the candle hole - thread restoration, a specially made threaded insert for the candle – fitting is installed.

The fitting has an increased diameter of the outer part, and for its installation, a thread of a larger diameter is cut in the candle hole with a special tap, into which the fitting is installed.
